Doug Chapman founded National Kitchen & Bath in 1980 with a dream to become a leader in the kitchen and bath design industry. He continues to serve an active role in the company including overseeing daily operations, scheduling, estimating, detailing orders, designing and sales leadership.
Beyond his day-to-day contact with customers, Chapman served as a National Kitchen & Bath Association instructor (NKBA), and was Southern Illinois/Southern Missouri NKBA Vice President of Education for eight years. He also served as Chapter President for two years. Chapman was also recognized in the NKBA Design Competition and his work has been published in several publications.
A published designer with an impressive résumé, Kim Feld serves a vital role on the National Kitchen & Bath team. After receiving her BS in Architectural Studies, she began here career in the kitchen and bath industry in 1995. Feld joined the NKB team in 1998.
Today, she provides design and sales consultation and works with clients from the start of the design process through project completion. With extensive training including ageing in place and green practices, Feld fills the role of interior designer for many clients, assisting with everything from cabinets to flooring to wall color.
From jobsite consultation to design and project management, Ashleigh Schroeder serves as a trusted advisor to homeowners and trade professionals. Schroeder, who is a published designer, started with NKB in 2005 after completing a degree in Interior Design.
She is a hands-on employee thanks to training in architectural drafting and prior experience at an interior design firm, and assists clients with a variety of decisions. Skilled in drawing floor plans and perspectives, Schroeder is able to help homeowners envision their dream kitchen or bathroom long before the final cabinet is installed.
The newest member of the NKB design team, Jim Baygents has extensive experience in the kitchen and bath industry. He started his career in 1979 and served as President of the Baygents Company from 1990-2014. Baygents is also familiar with Wood-Mode and Brookhaven Cabinetry, having sold the award-winning products since 1979.
A published designer with a degree in marketing, he supports clients in a variety of ways and is trained in 20/20 design software to provide digital floor plans and perspectives. From creating custom cabinetry to selecting fixtures, flooring and countertops, he fills the roll of an interior designer and is a trusted resource for clients.
Linda McKee is the glue that binds the NKB showroom together. A valued member of our team, she serves multiple roles including coordinating project materials and delivery, managing the showroom and sample library, providing customer service, design assistance, social media marketing and much more.
McKee is a talented photographer and color specialist, and provides the team with project photography, staging assistance and other behind-the-scenes support. She joined the NKB team in 2014 and looks forward to greeting you on your next visit to our showroom.
